Arrive · Ask · Assist
AMOS for your school office
Late passes, absences, roll call, quiet student check-ins and a silent help button for teachers, in one place. AMOS runs on a PC in your own office, on your own school network. There is no cloud account and student information doesn’t leave the building.
What it does
- Roll call. Teachers tap who’s away or late on an iPad or phone. The office sees it straight away and can export it for the school’s roll system.
- Joining is a QR scan. The office PC shows a code; a teacher points the iPad camera at it. A teacher’s device can only send rolls. It can’t see anything else.
- Late passes. Students check in at the office, and the office approves late passes in one place, with a spreadsheet export.
- Quiet check-ins. A student can ask wellbeing staff to check in, without saying it out loud at the front desk.
- Staff assist. A teacher who needs help in class can tell the office without leaving the room.
- A record leadership can trust. Actions are written to a log that shows if anything has been changed. It keeps counts, not student names.
What is ready today
Working across devices on the school network: roll call (teacher iPad or phone to the office PC), joining by QR, and the office’s who’s-away view and export.
Working as a demo in one browser: late passes, quiet check-ins, staff assist and practice notices. You can try these now on this site. They are being moved onto the office PC next, so they work between devices the same way roll call does.
Planned: one-tap absence notes from families, matched to the roll; a private way for students to ask for lunch, a hat or uniform; and one support offer sent to every family, so nobody has to ask.
How a free pilot works
- A 20-minute demonstration with made-up names, on a laptop or in your office.
- Install on an office PC. Any Windows 10 or 11 PC on the school network. Your IT staff stay in control; nothing is installed on teacher devices.
- A safe test day. Office staff and a few teachers try it with test names only. No real student records, no text messages, and no link to emergency services.
- A limited pilot with real classes, only after your school or the department has approved privacy and security.
No licence charge for the pilot, subject to the school or department approving the service.
Honest limits of the test version
- Staff names are typed, not verified. There is no staff sign-in yet.
- The connection on the school network is not encrypted yet, so the test version is for made-up names only.
- Everything is kept in the office PC’s memory. Restarting AMOS clears it.
- AMOS does not contact emergency services. In an emergency, call 000.
These are fixed before any pilot with real student information.
